An interview about the beginning, the first steps towards realization and everything that lies ahead.
In November 2023, we met with Gabriela Mahlelieva at the invitation of an interview in which we could tell more about the "Sharena Zadruga" initiative. We talked about the difficulties, obstacles and challenges we go through daily. We shared our experience from the journey we have taken so far and what our plans are for the future.
"Our idea is to create a culinary and crafts school complex. There will be four buildings in total. The old school building will be converted into a culinary school and will be under the umbrella of FERRANDI Paris (ed. note – one of the oldest culinary schools in Europe). The second building is the abandoned bakery and bathhouse in one, unfortunately, we will have to move it and rebuild it. The craft school will be housed there. There will also be two buildings that will be dormitories for students and teachers", says Yuri.
The culinary school will teach baking, pastry, French and Balkan cuisine.
