Buildings
The architecture of the campus has played a key role since the inception of the idea for "Sharena Fabrika". It is a symbol of the philosophy that the school should be a bridge between traditions and modern technologies, reaching out to the past, but also moving confidently forward into the future, preserving and preserving materials, details, ideas, knowledge and skills.
Most spaces are renovated and reconstructed existing and iconic buildings for the village – suggesting the approach and mission woven into every part of the complex.
The "Sharena Fabrika" campus consists of the culinary school, the teachers' home, and the modern dormitory for the students. Each building is in sync with the overall architectural concept and vision, fitting harmoniously into the village and the surrounding natural environment without being intrusive.
"For us, this project is of utmost importance - morally and professionally, because of the mission, the idea of revitalizing a wonderful building, and not just any building, but a school, and because of the challenge - complex, ensemble design, interweaving of various functions in the existing environment and care for the environment we found. It was very important for us to preserve the spirit of the place, the scale of the village, the space and greenery, while at the same time providing the necessary conditions for the complex to function properly and sustainably."
In the culinary school building, students and guests of "Sharena Fabrika" will be able to see preserved original flooring, wall treatments, wooden elements from the old building woven into new interior solutions, window sashes made of welded joinery, the school's fountain, the original staircase and many more details that seem to speak and show the craftsmanship of the builders - masons, carpenters, stonemasons and potters, from almost 100 years ago."
